Climate
07 Dec 2007

As in the whole of the Urals, the climate here is continental, but somewhat milder than in Yekaterinburg and Perm. Winters are normally snowy and cold (average January temperature is 5 F) and summers can get hot (up to 95 F in July, though rarely for more than a week), though summer does not last long and transitions rather quickly into fall by early September, with the first snows and freeze occurring in the first ten days of October.  Snowpack is usually firmed up by end of November.  Temps can fall to as low as -40 on rare occasions in Ufa.
