June 9-16, 2004 -- Eight members
of a volunteer team came to Ufa
from Westside Baptist Church, Sumter, South Carolina.
While here, they worked in ministry with
us. ... They
prayer walked and distributed Bibles and evangelistic
literature in two different districts of Ufa where there isn't a single
evangelical church.
They were involved in evangelistic visitation in the homes of prospects for Grace Baptist Church and Ufa Bible Church.
They
shared their testimonies and preached in 4 different church fellowships
while in Ufa. They fellowshipped with believers from several churches
during a cookout/picnic. They spent an entire day ministering in a local
orphanage where they donated new shoes, sports equipment, and shared the
Good News with 45 orphans and orphanage workers. They visited and shared
the Gospel with prison officials, former prisoners, and former drug
addicts.
Through their efforts, we believe they helped open the door to
share the Gospel in additional future venues. Through their efforts, we
believe the Lord is going to start at least two new evangelistic Bible
studies in the areas where they prayer walked.
