Please be in prayer for

1.       1.       Our local ministry team and a team from Westside July 25-29 here in Ufa as we present a baseball clinic daily and play volleyball with local residentspray for the teams timely arrival with all the sports equipment, for official approval to be given to present the clinic (we are hopeful and waiting for a phone call from govt officials regarding this), and for the local believers who will be involved in the project.  It is our desire that people we meet find hope for life and answers to their deepest needs from the only One who can really meet those needs.

2.       2.       For our team as we are involved in delicate negotiations for hotel reservations for another large team coming to Ufa next monthpray for Gods will to be done, that we make wise choices, that God grant us favor with hotel officials so that we can find mutually agreeable terms, and for Gods provision of alternate plans in case our main plans dont materialize regarding hotel accommodations.  We feel we may be involved in some spiritual warfare on this issue and want to know our bros/sisters in the faith are standing with us in prayer for Gods miraculous provision

3.       3.       For the local Baptist summer evangelistic camps that will start in the beginning of Julythis is a prime opportunity to communicate the good news with young people, young adults, and young families.

4.       4.       For a new church that is about to born in Bashkortostans 2nd largest city of Sterlitamak.  The church will have its first baptismal service the weekend of July 6-8.  It will be called Transfiguration Church.  Pray for wonderful, memory-filled services to be conducted that weekend and for the good news to be preached and shared powerfully through the Holy Spirit.

5.       5.       Pray for our team mates Victor and Susan Bauer as they have plunged into ministry with usthey are doing a great job and it is an honor to serve with them.  Pray for them as they lead ESL classes, serve with the summer volunteer teams in sports and humanitarian ministries, and share the good news with different people they are meeting and with whom they are making friends.

6.       6.       Pray for me as I gradually do seminar work here in Ufa related to my doctoral degreeIve finished 60% of the work and have until September 1st to finish the other 40%.  It is rewarding but also VERY challenging.

Thanks for standing with us in prayer!

Greetings from Ufa!  I’ve returned just a few days ago from a European Study Tour related to my doctoral studies at Midwestern Baptist Seminary in Kansas City.  The Lord deeply impacted my life and strengthened my faith as a result of the study tour.  It was more than an academic exercise, as I was reminded of the role that we all play in God’s plan to bring all peoples to Himself within human history which He is guiding.

 Quick prayer update:

 1.       1.       Pray with us for a young man named Shamil who recently said he wanted to repent and follow Jesus as a result of an ESL lesson in which he participated.  Pray for him so that he attends a worship service and takes those next baby steps of faith in obedience to the Lord

2.       2.       Pray with us for a volunteer team coming from Westside Baptist church (Sumter, SC) June 23-July 1.  They will minister in cooperation with 1st Baptist Church Ufa through sports ministry, prayerwalking, and Bible distribution to support efforts to gather people into an evangelistic Bible study (to eventually become a new church start) in the Sipailovo district of Ufa.

3.       3.       Pray with us for preparations related to the coming of a large (66-member) Intl World Changers team to Ufa July 19-29.  The team will do service projects around the city such as painting an alcohol rehab hospital, park beautification, etc.  They will also minister in key parts of the city through sports evangelism, summer evangelistic camp ministry, and backyard Bible clubs.  Pray for Gods blessings on negotiations going on behind the scenes regarding lodging, transportation, language interpreters, and ministry sites.  Pray for me as I head up these negotiations and require lots of time.

4.       4.       Pray for me personally as I attempt to finish course work related the European study tour by August 1.

Thanks for being a part of our team through prayer!
