July 2007 Prayer Letters

 July 19, 2007

The first members of a 66-member Int’l World Changer volunteer team start arriving in Ufa this evening (Thur, July 19) and the remainder of them will arrive on Sunday morning.  They start their service/ministry projects in three different locations on Monday and conclude on Friday the 27th before departing for USA on Sat the 28th.

Please pray for safe travel each day, especially for the 12 or 13 team members who will travel back and forth each day to a summer camp where they will be involved in sports, crafts, and grounds cleanup/beautification.

Please pray for the 20 or so member who will paint the outside and inside of a small clinic in Ufa and share hope with those who are in rehab at the clinic.  Pray for the 20 or so who will be beautifying a large park in Ufa in the late mornings & early afternoons and playing sports in the late afternoons with Ufa youth and young adults.

Pray for the good news to be clearly shared, and that local believers would join the activities and help connect people with local churches and a new church plant in one part of the city.

Please pray for Victor and Susan Bauer from TeamUfa as they serve at the camp also.

Pray for project director Jeff King and ministry coordinator Greg Cope as they seek wisdom from the Lord and make various decisions in coming days and during the actual project.  Pray for the seven translators who will play a crucial role in this project.

Pray for all of us to have favor with different officials and with the press if they appear.

 Thanks for praying with us!

 Chris

Pra!   1)  Pray for a volunteer team that will be in the Ufa area after August 25 and into September.  They need physical stamina, clarity of mind as they visit many of the churches in Bashkortostan.

2.      2)  Pray for the ongoing ESL work among beginners on Monday nights, and intermediate/advanced classes on Saturdays.  Pray for participants like Diana, Lida, Anatoli, Vladimir, and others who are hearing the good news through English, that they profess saving faith in Jesus.  Pray for Ola, Stas, Lily, Victor, Susan, Eileen, and Chris as they work together leading ESL.

3.      3)  Pray for TeamUfa and all of Ufa as we approach the 450th anniversary in October of political cooperation between the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Russian government…pray for us to have open doors and access to the city with various volunteer teams in September and October that our movements not be overly restricted because of all the anniversary preparations and dignitaries who will be in Ufa.

Thanks for standing with us in prayer!
