At the Sunday worship a few days after the training ended, Ilnur related how he had been actively shared his testimony for the first time. There was such a passion and excitement in his voice as he related the joy of telling the good news. Other members of the church began to also relate their joy in sharing their stories with people who do not yet know Jesus as Lord. It was such a thrill to be present
and see how these young believers had found empowerment and freedom in the
Spirit to pass on the good news in a very personal way. As I sat there
listening and rejoicing, I thought to myself “they got it!”. I felt as
if I might be sitting in a house church reflective of the first century
church in its simplicity, joy, and purity. How I wish and pray that more
of Ufa’s believers would also take those baby steps of obedience, trust in
the Lord, and personally tell His story as they share how He has changed
each of our lives. May it be so!

A
young man named Ilnur who attends Ufa Bible Church and plays bass
guitar during their worship times participated in the T4T
training. This training was led by Bob Dutton with translator
Lily who is pastor Stas’ wife. Part of the training was learning how to
formulate a personal testimony of how God brought each individual
to faith in Jesus and how they have been changed and grown as a result.
