May 5, 2007 Ufa’s newest church (1st Baptist Church, started in early Nov 2006) celebrated its first baptismal service.

Three married couples were among the eight baptized. We share this good news with you so you can rejoice with us in Ufa at God’s goodness shown in the life of this new church. 1st Baptist is already making plans to work with our team to start a new church in the Sipailovo district of Ufa. Will you please pray for Andrei, Sergei, 1st Baptist member Roman who will help lead the Sipailovo work, and our team as we work with the Lord to birth this new church? Your prayers are vital for helping make the kingdom of God become a reality for those who don’t yet know him! |

Eight
new believers were baptized in a small indoor swimming pool as a public
symbol of their new-found faith in Jesus. Co-pastors Andrei Dzuba and
Sergei Interesov lead the new church in this time of celebration and joy,
with other guests present as witnesses. 
Sergei brought a short message from Romans 6:1-14 to the baptismal
candidates and the church, while Andrei did the actual baptisms.
